WTC Final : The 2025 World Test Championship final will feature Australia and South Africa in June. Australia, the defending champions, will compete in the final for the second time in a row, while South Africa will be aiming for their first title. As with the previous two occasions, the final will take place at Lord's in England. Let's explore the three players who could lead South Africa to their first World Test Championship victory.

1. Kagiso Rabada

Kagiso Rabada has been South Africa's premier bowler for several years. In 2024, he claimed 34 wickets across 8 Test matches and was the joint top wicket-taker (10) in the recent series against Pakistan. The final match will be held at Lord's, a ground where Rabada excels. He has taken 13 wickets in just 2 matches at Lord's. Thus, he could be a crucial asset for South Africa in the final against Australia.

2. Marco Jansen

In 2024, Marco Jansen had an excellent year with the ball, claiming 22 wickets across 4 matches with an impressive average of 17.23. Similar to Kagiso Rabada, Jansen has shown remarkable performance at Lord's. His height, along with his ability to swing and bounce the ball, could pose significant challenges for the Australian batsmen. Additionally, Jansen's ability to contribute with the bat when required enhances his value.

3. Ryan Rickelton

Ryan Rickelton has performed well in Test cricket, accumulating 616 runs across 17 innings with an average of about 41. His standout performance was in the Cape Town Test against Pakistan, where he scored 259 runs, marking his first double century. Prior to this, he had also scored a century, making 101 runs against Sri Lanka. If Rickelton continues this impressive form, he could significantly contribute to South Africa winning the WTC title for the first time.
