NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule has criticized the ED for failing to act against Valmiki Karad in the murder case of Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh. She pointed out that despite numerous pieces of evidence presented against him, no action has been taken.

Valmiki Karad : Valmiki Karad faces multiple charges related to the murder of Santosh Deshmukh, the Sarpanch of Massajog in Beed district. Additionally, he was charged with economic crimes eight months ago. Although it was anticipated that he would be prosecuted under the Money Laundering Aid Act, no action has been taken against him even after eight months. NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule questioned the media about why no action has been taken against Valmiki Karad, pointing out that action was taken against Anil Deshmukh and Sanjay Dutt despite insufficient evidence.
Supriya Sule questioned why the ED has not yet acted against Valmiki Karad. A notice was sent to Valmiki Karad in 2022, but no subsequent action was taken. In contrast, action was taken against Anil Deshmukh without any evidence. Additionally, despite allegations against the company eight months ago, no action has been taken against Valmiki Karad. We plan to submit a vice-president's letter to the Finance Ministry about this issue.
Why did ED not take action?
He stated that Valmiki Karad's subject is non-political, noting that Karad is a social researcher. The extortion case was lodged by Avadha Company. The opposition filed a case against Valmiki Karad, questioning why the ED and PMLA have not taken action against him.
