A 72.4 km elevated track for the Namo Bharat train will be constructed on the Ghaziabad to Jewar Airport route, featuring 22 stations. Scheduled for completion by 2031, this project will accommodate both Namo Bharat and Metro trains. The estimated cost is Rs 20,000 crore, with an anticipated 3.09 lakh passengers traveling.

Namo Bharat Metro : It will now be more convenient for residents of Ghaziabad and Greater Noida to access the Noida International Airport under construction in Jewar. The Namo Bharat Train initially began operating in Ghaziabad, then extended to Meerut, and has now started running to Delhi. There are plans to extend this rapid train service to Jewar Airport. An elevated track is planned from Ghaziabad to Greater Noida West, Sector Alpha-1, and Kasna to the airport.
New corridor of Namo Bharat Train
The initial corridor of the Namo Bharat Train has commenced from Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar, with plans to extend the project to Jewar Airport. An elevated track is set to be constructed from Siddharth Nagar in Ghaziabad to Greater Noida West, Sector Alpha-1, and Kasna. The project will begin once approval is granted by the central government.
Plan of new station and track
This elevated track, stretching 72.4 km, will traverse 22 stations, comprising 11 Namo Bharat and 11 metro stations. In the future, the total number of stations may increase to 35. Both Namo Bharat and Metro trains will operate on this track with six coaches each. The project aims for completion by 2031, with an estimated cost of Rs 20,000 crore.
Namo Bharat and Metro will be connected
As part of this project, the Aqua Metro line will link to the Namo Bharat train. The Aqua line will extend from Noida's Sector-51 to Knowledge Park-5. This extension will facilitate easier access to Knowledge Park-5 in Greater Noida from the Namo Bharat train line connected to Noida International Airport.
Work will be done in first and second phase
In the initial phase, a 39.39 km track will be constructed to link Ecotech-6 in Ghaziabad with Greater Noida West. The second phase involves connecting Ecotech-6 to the airport with a 32.90 km track. It has now been decided to undertake both phases simultaneously to ensure the project is completed on schedule.
