Delhi Election 2025 : For the Delhi Assembly elections, the All India Trinamool Congress (AITMC), led by Mamta Banerjee, has chosen to back the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). In response, AAP's national convener Arvind Kejriwal expressed his gratitude to Mamta Banerjee via a social media post. On Twitter, Arvind Kejriwal stated, "TMC has declared its support for AAP in the Delhi elections. I am personally thankful to Mamta Didi."

The political climate in Delhi has been intense since the assembly election dates were announced. Voting for all 70 assembly seats in Delhi is scheduled for 5 February 2025, with the results to be announced on 8 February. The main contenders in Delhi are the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party. Additionally, Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party and Mamta Banerjee's TMC have declared their support for Arvind Kejriwal.

Simultaneously, after the Samajwadi Party expressed its support for AAP, Arvind Kejriwal extended his gratitude to Akhilesh Yadav. He conveyed in his message, "Thank you very much, Akhilesh ji. Your support is always with us. I and the people of Delhi are grateful to you for this." For context, it should be noted that a few days ago, Akhilesh Yadav stated that the SP would support whoever defeats the BJP in Delhi. Since only the Aam Aadmi Party can defeat the BJP in Delhi, he will join forces with AAP.
