On Saturday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unveiled its initial roster of 29 candidates for the upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections 2025, featuring prominent figures such as former MP Parvesh Verma, who will contest against former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for the New Delhi seat.

The BJP has fielded former MP Ramesh Bidhuri against Delhi Chief Minister Atishi in Kalkaji and has also given a ticket to Kailash Gahlot, a recent defector to the BJP who accused AAP of having "diluted values and principles." Gahlot will run for election from the Bijwasan seat.
Arvinder Singh Lovely, a former minister in Sheila Dikshit's cabinet from 2003 to 2013, has received the ticket to run for the Gandhinagar seat in East Delhi. He departed from the Congress last year and became a member of the BJP.
Other prominent candidates are Dushyant Gautam representing Karol Bagh and Manjinder Singh Sirsa from Rajouri Garden. The BJP has also declared Ravinder Singh Negi as their candidate for Patparganj, where a fierce contest is anticipated against AAP's Avadh Ojha. Ojha, a UPSC tutor who recently joined the ruling party in Delhi, will be making his electoral debut in this constituency, replacing Manish Sisodia.
