BPSC candidates remain firm in their demand for a re-examination. They have been persistently protesting in Gardanibagh, Patna, the capital of Bihar.

Throughout this period, the candidates have faced multiple instances of lathi charges. Although the BPSC has annulled the exam at Patna's 'Bapu Exam Center' alone, the candidates insist that the entire examination should be cancelled. They have been demonstrating in Gardanibagh, Patna for several days in support of their demand.
Mallikarjun Kharge calls lathicharge shameful
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge described the lathicharge on BPSC candidates in Patna on Monday (30 December) as disgraceful. He tweeted that Bihar's NDA government has viciously lathicharged and cruelly mistreated BPSC candidates to conceal paper leaks and manipulation. He condemned the attempt to crush the spirit of the youth using authoritarian tactics as utterly disgraceful. Additionally, he criticized the BJP, stating that they have established a network of paper leak mafias across the country, jeopardizing the future of the youth. Over 70 papers have been leaked in the past 7 years, affecting the future of 3.28 lakh youth in the BPSC examination. When caught in rigging, the BJP either shamelessly denies it or attempts to silence the youth by using lathicharge.
In this instance, MP Pappu Yadav has recently met with the Governor of Bihar. After his discussion with the Governor, Pappu Yadav made a significant statement. This brings relief to the candidates. Pappu Yadav mentioned that the Governor has assured him of discussing the entire issue with the Chief Minister.
Important point
MP Pappu Yadav mentioned that the Governor has communicated with the Chairman of BPSC.
The Governor stated that he will also summon the DM-SP to understand the reasoning behind their use of lathi.
