Football champion turned Buddhist monk


Swedish footballer Kevin Lidin has now embraced life as a Buddhist monk. This former midfielder achieved victory in the Serie C play-offs with AC Pisa in 2019. However, at a young age, he chose the spiritual path. He initially began attending meditation retreats in Thailand, where he also practiced yoga. During this time, he contemplated questions about happiness and life's purpose. He shared that after engaging in yoga and becoming a Buddhist monk, he found the answers he was seeking.

A footballer who played in World Cup becomes a priest


Former Nigerian footballer Taribo West is now a priest. He participated in the 2002 Football World Cup. 50-year-old Taribo West established his own church named 'Shelter in the Storm Miracle Ministries of All Nation'.
